The deadline has now passed for Gary Marsden Travel Awards for COMPASS ’23.
Thanks to the support of our sponsors, a limited number of scholarships for ACM COMPASS ’23 is available in the form of travel grants for people who would otherwise not be able to attend, particularly graduate students and young researchers in Economically Developing Countries (EDC). The travel grants will vary depending on the need of the applicant but in most cases will only cover registration. Students are advised to apply as a volunteer to cover registration costs, and will not be eligible for COMPASS ’23 scholarships unless they have also already applied for GMTA. You do not have to be a student in order to apply for the COMPASS ’23 Travel Awards.
Selection criteria
1. Preference will be given to applicants who are presenting a paper, poster or giving a demo at the conference, or who are otherwise actively involved in the organization of the conference but unable to fund attendance.
2. Applicants should be registered students or a member of staff of an institution in Economically Developing Countries (EDC)
3. Demonstrated evidence in research and activities that align with the ACM COMPASS goals and objectives, for example, being actively involved in a research project in one of the themes at the conference
